I have been taking Zofran for the nausea, but now have another problem...constipation. I have never felt this bad in my life. Without getting into TMI, did anyone's doctor allow them to use a glycerin suppository laxative?? I have some that I had to use on my DD when she was a baby and am getting desparate and am considering using these. I tried to call my doctor, but it is now after hours. Any advice would be great.
Re: Constipation...
Laxative = Bad because they can cause contractions
Black coffee can provide immediate relief
Prunes are good
High fiber diet and lots of water for the long haul!
Some Welch's White Grape Cherry juice works wonders. Foods that help: pears, apples, raisins, fast food, beans
Foods that may cause constipation (at least they did in my DS): blueberries, bananas, damn I can't think of the other one.... frickin pregnancy brain.
I don't think it's as much of a side effect as it is just being pregnant.
Constipation kinda comes with the territory...
Actually constipation is one of the main side effects of Zofran.
