Nora has been refusing to use her toddler utensils lately and grabs for ours. I still feel nervous letting her use a regular sized fork. She eats really well with it but I always think of the worse case scenario. WWYD?
Piper's still fine with using her almost-regular-sized plastic toddler utensils, but I've let her use our forks or spoons (she has no use for a knife) on ocassion with no problem. Piper has an extremely cautious personality so she's very careful about it. I'm OK with letting her use it if I'm right there to watch - it's definitely more convenient when eating out, etc.
Nathaniel hasn't started refusing his kid sized utensils, but I do let him use "adult" sized ones, too. He does really well with them! And we are always eating with him, so he is supervised. I would let Nora start to use the regular sized ones.
I bought a couple of sets of kiddie utensils for Justin to use that are a step up from the toddler ones, at least IMO. They look more like regular utensils but they are still kid-sized. He has adapted to these extremely well and refuses to use the plastic ones anymore. I've seen these at both Target and Kroger but I imagine you could get them about anywhere they sell this type of stuff.
For Kellen we got him utensils that were Blue's Clue's sort of like the ones Katie has for Justin, just a little bigger. They had soft handles with a wide spoon/fork area. Those came from Walmart, but it was years ago. If Nora wont use the ones you have and wants the "BIG" ones try giving her the "sugar" spoon from the utensil set. They are a little smaller than the teaspoon, but probably bigger than the ones you have. But I would let her use regular utensils if you are sitting with her when she eats. I don't see why not.
Half the time Brooke uses her utensils and the other half she uses mine.
She does fine with them (spoon and fork). I try to get her to use the smaller of the two forks, I am more comfortable with that but at this point, as long as she is eating and not hurting herself, she uses mine.
Aleck uses real utensils and toddler utensils already. We just watch him close with the real utensils b/c he sometimes tries to fling them and I am worried about him poking his eye out, LOL. I say try it and just watch her :0)
Our kids are 19mths apart and we LOVE it!!

Katie,
Those are the exact ones we have. Nowadays, Nora wants everything, "BIG!" - her word exactly.
