Biggest Loser--I'm confused.

How do they determine the winner?  I know someone is voted off each show, and I know they're now weighing the people voted off--so how does this show work?  I'm so confused.

The voted off contestants are up for a 100,000 prize.... Then they weigh in the top 3 (I think) for the grand prize...
