Mini-meltdown on the way home from our failed pool playdate.

I just had one.

It took forever to get everything gathered, DS and myself sunblocked and all ready to go this morning.

We get to the friend's pool (about 15-20 min away), step in, and DS says it's too cold and refuses to go back in.  I tell him fine ... to sit in the chair by his friends and just talk.  He refuses, says he wants to go home and goes and sits by our bags.  I go and sit with him and wait maybe 5 min or so and then I just decide to leave.  Then it's the whole process of getting everything gathered and getting us back home. 

On the way home I cried on the phone to DH about this.  I know it's just the pgcy.  I've been way too emotional lately. 

This happen to anyone else at the end of their second pgcy?

This is just me (so keep that in mind), but I wouldn't have left to go back home because he was suddenly over the playdate. DS would've had to make the best of the situation for a while.

I would have normally done the same, but I just didn't feel like dealing with it.  A few wasps were also flying around where our stuff was (and where DS was) and it made me a little nervous.

Chalk it up to the hormones then   Grab yourself a beverage and put your feet up. Let DS play with his toys.
