The twins are girls!!! Baby A (Savannah Elizabeth) and baby B (Callista Kathleen). I am so excited... now the bad part.
the rest is a repost from the SAIF board.
I think I am finally done crying I can type. Everyone at work keeps asking me what is wrong with my eyes, then I tell them what happened and I start all over again. I really look like crap right now.
So here it goes, the OB said I could be a victim of early technology and things will work itself out, but it could be Baby B (Cali) is not getting enough of the placenta needs. Only time will tell, I start weekly cervical lengths and fluid checks on the babies next week. They will make the call in the next few weeks on bedrest. It looks like I am heading there earlier than expected. I didn't want to do it that soon. The OB said with bedrest the placenta will get more bood flow and oxygen to support both babies instead of using it on me walking and moving around. The one plus is my cervix is completely closed and the length checks are outstanding.
Miss Savannah better start sharing with her sister or she is in trouble when she gets out of there.
24 weeks is going to be the next milestone for Cali. If she is not showing signs of improvement there might need to be an intervention.

Congrats on girls! and oh what trouble they are causing all ready just wait till the teen years
Just rest, rest, rest, put yourself on bedrest! I know it is scary to think that you might have to deliver that early but my son was born at 25 weeks and is absolutely perfect!!! White boys even get a week subtracted so development wise he was 24 weeks. Knowing this now will only make your chances better and be sure to get the steroid shots. You should visit the Preemie board and see all of the success there and how long people are able to hold onto their babies with bedrest.
Take Care and Savannah listen to your mommy - you can boss your sister around once you guys are delivered full term and healthy!

I know it is so much easier said than done, but try to think only of the best-case scenario...and let the what-ifs work themselves out.

Congrats on finding out that you are having 2 girls and I love their names! I hope things get better for you and that Cali starts getting the nutrition she needs. I will continue to pray for you and your girls!
