Work Rant...a bit long...

So, my boss has been out for OVER a month, and it caused me to work my rear end off (literally, I lost about 10 pounds) and actually ended up in the hospital for a day.

He returned a week ago, and I left for a surprise visit home for my parents' birthdays. When I got back, he had literally done NOTHING and expected that I would just help with it/do it myself when I came back to work.

Tomorrow, I am supposed to work the same shift with him, but DH and I have to take a short work related (for him) trip, so I asked if he minded if I worked an earlier shift...since there would be coverage.

He got that shady look in his eyes, and said, "Um, I don't know, do we have enough coverage?" and "We'll have to take a look at the schedule."

About a minute ago, one of my coworkers ("Joe") called to ask me a question and I answered it, but it occured to me that "Bob" was there, and should know how to do it. He said Bob had left and taken a personal day...leaving Joe with LESS coverage than he would have tomorrow when I work a different shift.

There's alot more backstory, which is causing me to be just LIVID about his leaving. I think I just might have to take a personal day tomorrow...
