Why are DHs so clueless sometimes?

So, I'm getting ready upstairs this morning and I can hear Liam downstairs crying.  He got progressively more upset, so I thought maybe it was just the separation anxiety so I came downstairs and found him screaming in his high chair.  I was annoyed that DH had not taken him out to comfort him because I thought maybe something was wrong for him to be screaming so.

I ask DH if he ate his oatmeal this morning, and DH says he hasn't eaten his oatmeal in 3 days.  What?!?!  I say "oh so basically since you switched him to the new kind of oatmeal?" "yeah I guess" Well duh, DH I don't think he likes the new kind of oatmeal!  So we fix him a piece of toast, a bowl of fresh peaches and a handful of Cheerios.  Now Liam is happy and content.

Now I'm wondering if the reason Liam's morning nap was only 30 minutes the last 2 days is that he was hungry.  Duh.  Do you think DH would have ever figured out this "mystery" on his own?

  • Yeah I dont see DHs figuring many things out without us giving them our opinion or input. Sometimes I just shake my head and think wow was it that hard to figure such and such out!
