Ok, so I posted this in another TTTC, but I've noticed that A LOT of you ladies have pets, so I just wanted to share.....
"I had cat/dog pee in the carpet issues.
Guess what works....Massengill feminine douche. Mix 1:1 with water and clean!!
Takes out the "not so fresh feeling" in your carpets too!!"
I had tried everything, and this REALLY works well, and paid FAR more for enzymatic carpet treatments.

Re: Massengill --- REALLY??!!
I don't really know the chemistry behind it, but I'm assuming it neutralizes the amines (stuff that makes urine smell).
I had a cat that we adopted from the SPCA, and she took a liking to a spot in our spare bedroom. We eventually had to take her back to the shelter, I think she was "spraying" bc she was jealous (didn't get along with) our other cat.
I paid HUNDREDS of dollars to have someone come in and professionally clean our carpets...ofcourse it didn't work!!
I read somewhere, can't remember now, that mixing douche (powdered scent seems to work best) with water and spraying/cleaning the spot works.
We mix the solution and put it in our spot/carpet cleaner.
It took the smell out almost instantaneously.
Mix, clean/scrub, dry, and repeat as needed.
Just have DH go buy it. I bought it myself...a bit embarassing....but who cares if it works...and I was DESPERATE!!!
Vinegar and water ladies! That is how it works!
We have light brown carpet (intentionally bc of the pets) so IDK if it works on the stains....but it definitely takes out the smell.
MMMM Powder fresh!!!
haha you crack me up!!!
Apparently, it is also good for a pet sprayed by a skunk.
