F/U to my car seat search

DH and I went to BRU and played with the car seats for over an hour.  We left with an Evenflo Symphony.  DD loves it!  It's a great seat and very very easy to get DD in and out of.  DD loves being high enough to see out the window of DHs car.  We are happy with the decision so far. 

A funny for you------ after my posts about shopping cart covers...we still don't have one, but made a Kroger run after installing the car seat.  DH carried DD into the store and suddenly realized that he needed to put her in a cart.  He FREAKED!  All of the sudden, he understood why I was going on and on and on about needing a cart cover.  I thought it was hysterical.  He gets it now.  Love it!

FYI....BRU will allow you to stack coupons.  I had a 15% off a carseat, and a 15% off any one baby item, plus a $5 BRU rewards coupon.  They let me use them all on the car seat so I got 35% off!  Woot!

Oooh!  I didn't know you can stack coupons!  I will have to mention that to DH as we begin to search for a carseat.  I am STRUGGLING to carry B-- I think he's 23-24 pounds now. 

Can you repost your review of the symphony later this week after a few days of use?  TIA!

FWIW, I think we will be investing in a shopping cart cover.  DS sits up just fine now, but I do think the cover will make it a bit more stable and not having to worry about what he is sitting on/chewing on/etc... would be good.

Kel-I will let you know what DH thinks of it.  DD is in his car more than mine because he does the drop offs and pick ups and is also home with her 2 days a week.  We put it in his car because I really think the Titan (a shower gift) has less padding etc, and my car has side curtain air bags.  Made sense to give him the better seat. 

Yep, after seeing her in the cart tonight, I want the cart cover for germ protection more than anything.  She can sit for hours on her own, but the barrier thing is good in that situation.  DH about died the whole time...it took us 15 minutes in and out because he FREAKED!  LOL.

Thanks for the tip on stacking coupons!  We are buying a second carseat very soon (I am getting a new car--yay!!).  I'm glad you found a seat you love.
