    This is the name of a friend of mine from college and she prononuced it with the long i sound. I'm sure it can be pronounced a lot of different ways though.

    i have heard emme-LEEN the most, but no matter which one you choose, i think it will be mispronounced because i've heard emme-LINE a lot too.

    My friend had a daughter in September and named her Emmeline. She pronounces it emma-line just like Caroline is care-ah-line.
