I bought A a $3 bath toy last night and needed a SCREWDRIVER to get it out of the package. Yeah, they screwed it to the package. I'm sure it cost more to do all that than I paid for it.
My guess is that the cheapest toy is cheapest because the thought that went into it/its packaging was the least - so no one actually thought about how to open it!
