It's a fine name..just not my style. It was all the raging trend here for awhile. There are 4 girls in preschool with that name right now....and all spelled differently.
If you do Mackenzie I would put the C back. If you do Kenzie, that's nice too. I like them, but for some reason not my style. I think of Mackenzie Philips, so this name has been around for a long time and imo, that's a good thing. It has longevity.

i'm sorry, but any form of the name mckenzie is so awful to me. the important thing is that you like it, but just remember that it's not one of those names that ages well.

I don't mind Kenzie but I really don't like Makenzie (sorry!) especially the spelling for some reason it looks made up to me but truly names with "mak" or "mc" are really nms so don't listen to me!
I like it, but it is getting pretty popular. I like the idea of just naming her Kenzie or you could go for something like Kenzington. I used to babysit a little girl named Kenzie and Kenzington was her full name.
It's alright. There's a lot of Mykenzie's - Makenzies out there. My cousin named her daughter that (she's almost 4 years old now) and she goes by Kenzie as a mn.
Re: wdyt:Makenzie?
Ditto.
I think Mackenzie or even Kenzie could age just fine. It's not "Burpyface" or "babydoll" or Trejure, or Amiricle.
All I can think of is a last name. Sorry.
Kenzie is nms at all. Again, sorry.
Ditto?
Agree with these pps.

ditto again. I think Kenzie is cute too.
I love it, but I am bias!!! lol Anyway, we spell it with a c, I think it looks more complete!!
ETA: We also call her Kenzie for her nn. I didn't want to at first, but now it just fits her.
I like it
I think it's fine. I think all older generations say the new names won't age well, but ummm...they have to
(I'm sure people said Jennifer and Jessica wouldn't age well)
I love the name! It's one of my favorites.
