I have been trying to use an M name for my grandfather but I really can't find anything that makes me really happy.

I love the name Elena. What do you all think about Elena Maxine? I hope my mom won't be mad.

Well the Maxine would be for my grandfather. Also the meanings are nice, Elena means shining light or bright one, and Maxine means greatest.

Thanks everyone. I would pronounce Eh-lay-na but I would take Uh-laynah or E-layna without complaint. They all sounds pretty similar to my ear. I guess the only ones I would correct someone on would be E-leena or Elen-A. I think most people would pronounce it the right way. DH loves it too!!! Yay! For some reason over the past few months I have just been thinknig abuot that  name a lot, and keep coming back to it.
