I'm confused (re: Mother's Day)

I thought (and apparently DH thinks too) that Mother's Day is on Sunday.  Am I missing something?

    Maybe because Sunday will be about everyone else, not 'us' as mothers?

    I got my gift on Thursday because DD spilled the beans about it. :)

    My kids gave me the things they made at school today, they were way to excited about them to wait. I know dh hasn't taken them shopping yet, he probably will tomorrow. My Mother;s Day present is the same every year, 2 hanging baskets and a couple of flats of annuals to plant. The kids love picking them out.
