Mucus Plug ?

I'm sorry for the tmi question.  Would you know if you lost it? We tried to have sex last night and it was extremely uncomfortable.  Since this morning, I have had an overabundance of discharge.  A lot more than I normally have which has me a little concerned.  Would I know if it was my mucus plug? I'm thinking I probably would, but just wanted to ask others who have been through it to be sure.  Thank-you!

when i lost mine with my 1st pg it had a brownish tint to it...like dried blood. it was also a little thicker in consistancy. sorry if all that is tmi

Here comes some far too descriptive details: It is usually very, very thick mucus. Like the very rubbery part you sometimes find in a egg white, but not as clear. It is often tinged with blood (red or brown) but can just be a mix of clear and opaque.

 

I went through phases of heavy discharge throughout - so there is a good chance that is all there is. Also, you can lose part of the plug and it can replenish itself. I lost mine right around 30 weeks (at least what seemed like a good deal of it) but my babies were still firmly in place when I had my scheduled c/section at almost 38 weeks.

sounds like it was not your mp....sounds like just discharge. you'd most likely know

I didn't know...I was in the hospital for 8days on days 6,7,8 i had a thick discharge like semi dry rubber cement, no blood or anything like that...But it was my plug...Don't freek though I would ck with your doctor
