Britax Frontier?

Does anyone have this car seat?  Opinions??  It is a harness-to-booster and the website says 25 lbs up to 100 lbs (as a booster).  DD is 30 lbs and 36 inches.  I wanted to get DD a Marathon because I wish I would have just gotten it for her in the first place.  Now it seems like she is getting to tall for her current car seat.

I like this seat in that I can keep her in a 5 pt harness longer but I don't know anyone that has it.  I have read some reviews online.  Target has it on sale right now for $229 which is the same price they have on the Marathon right now.  But this one would last her much longer.

I just went to my local baby boutique to check the Frontier out this afternoon. Luckily they also have the Graco Nautilus so I was able to compare the two. I like the cup holder and arm rests on the Graco better, but that was it. It has much more cushioning than the Frontier which is not necessarily a good thing for Jack as he gets warm. Our store said they are stopping carrying the Graco because the Frontier sells so much better. Our son is also 30lbs and about 37" tall and I am buying the Frontier. He's in a Marathon now, but I am ready to move him to the Frontier. It is a true convertible seat that goes from a harnessed seat to a booster. I also like the fabric better on the Frontier, the three different crotch strap positions, and the way the wings at the head are flared out. Nevermind on that last part. The Recaro is the one with the wings that are like horse blinders. I like the safety of the Britax and that's how we are going.

The best thing to do is go to a store that has both and play with both install them in your car and all that stuff.  It seems to be 50/50 between the both.  I prefer the Graco.

we ended up buying the Graco Nautilus for DS.  I did look into the Frontier but after reading TONS of reviews on the Nautilus and then posting on the car-seat board (https://www.car-seat.org/) and seeing that a lot of these car seat savvy people are choosing the Nautilus...that's what we chose.  I did like the Frontier's material and looks better but DS hasn't had any complaints with the Nautilus and it was so much more economical.

We own both of these seats. Most of the reviews you read are people who went to look at the seats and compare them not someone who actually owns both.

That being said. The Frontier wins hands down. The Frontier is 100 times easier to install and was easier to get a tight installation. The stupid buckle on the nautalus gets stuck under DD's butt every time I try to put her in the seat. I read this on several reviews and honestly did not think it would be a big deal it is a PITA. Just like anything else I think you get what you pay for. I prefer the Frontier and regret not buying two.
