First off, I should preface this by stating I used to not be a dog lover, however, I got custody of my now ex-husbands German Shorthair Pointer in 1997 and he has been the greatest dog ever since. ?My kids love him and he was so patient and gentle. ?Well, he has had some issues and last night his poor heart just gave out. ?He was such a great dog and will be missed....

So sad!  Cheers to the life of a great dog!  My childhood pet was a german shorthair pointer named Schatzie--my brother and I have such great memories of her!  I'm sure your kids will have similar sweet doggie memories!
