We are thinking about getting a Marathon since DD#2 will be growing out of her infant seat in the near future. DD#1 has a Roundabout, which we love, but I am wondering if we should get the Marathon and move #1 to that and #2 to the Roundabout.
Just looking for experiences with the Marathon or the Marathon vs. the Roundabout. TIA
Re: if you have a Britax Marathon, come in
I put Jack in our Marathon when he was five months and two days old. It was my birthday present to go with my new car. I love this seat. We bought a cheap seat for the occasional ride in my husband's truck but ran out and bought another Marathon after Jack and I were involved in an accident for the safety aspect.
I know a lot of mothers on here recommend moving to a something ??? that transforms to a booster for the older kid rather than buying another carseat and then a booster soon after that. The Britax Frontier booster is front facing only. I saw your daughter is almost two and a half.
We have both a Marathon and a Roundabout.
Big plus to the roundabout is it much easier to travel with; we've taken it on planes multiple times.
Big plus to the Marathon is you can rearface longer in it, if that interests you. I just moved my 20 month old to the rf marathon and put my (small) 4.5 year old in the ff roundabout.
If you're looking to make an investment, though, get a Graco Nautilus, which becomes a booster later.
