Enemas....ARE THEY SAFE???!!

in 1st Trimester

Can you safely take an enema during early pregnancy??? I have really bad constipation and I coud use one...Confused

Has anyone done one and been fine during their first trimester???

    I can't see why not. Just use H2O and not any weird liquids.

    I would guess that the water ones are safe. Are you taking colace with your PNV?

    Take one colace per meal up to three times daily, it will help.

    I have just come back from the doctor due to constipation and she has given me enemas to use, a saline based solution, so I assume they are fine.
