Someone actually called me...
In that email, at the end I copied and pasted ya'alls "cookie cutter response" and asked for more of a response than that...I guess a phone call works as more of a response than that...right?
She said that she recieved my email, and said that it was a "point well taken" They she is working with senior brand manager, they have my email and everyone else's comments/emails from the past couple days from other parents who have adopted or unable to have children, foster parents a whole range of other reasons. She has in fact done this personally, and wants me to know that it's being taken care of -- sharing this information with the marketing department, etc. The ad is not being pulled, but definatly, our view point is being shared and it's not something they had thought about. She thanked me several times about the time I took to write this email, and it really struck a chord with alot of them that hey this was more serious than me just complaining it's a bigger issue.
Phew...really?
I did thank her for calling personally, and before I got off the phone I did ask her why all teh cookie cutter responses were sent out, and she replied that they were sent out, but the emails were being collected and she did read through all of them personally. She apologized if anyone was offended by them.
I'm actually, kind of impressed by the PHONE CALL...
Thoughts?
Re: Attention!! Huggies CALLED me!
i am pleased with that! at least our point was heard now its up to them if they take any further action.
thanks for sharing!
That's nice they called, but I agree with CaptainSerious...will it really be considered in the future?
hopefully it did strike a chord. I think an ad focusing on foster/adopt/infertility would do WONDERS for their brand.
And I'd still be happy to take a package of diapers...those things are expensive!
