Shyea! (kinda long)

This weekend is DH's grandma's 80th b-day party (still lives at home and does a lot by herself).  So MIL took it upon herself to get her a car starter, garage door opener, and hook up another garage door opener where the mower is...didn't ask before if everyone else wanted to do it and whatnot and just assumed it could be split 9 ways between the kids.  I guess some of the siblings didn't like the idea but still went in on it.

Well MIL sent out an email this morning complaining about how not everyone appreciated it and that she had to take time off from work (unpaid she reminded them) to do this and rambled a little more and ended with have a great day everyone.

Fast forward 5 hours and her sister responded back pretty much putting MIL in her place (something I would have loved to do but haven't for the sake of DH).  I think my favorite sentence was "WHOA NELLIE!  PULL BACK ON THOSE REINS GIRL BEFORE YOU START SHOOTING OFF YOUR MOUTH!"

or this

"Stop trying to play the martyr or victim.  If you truly did this out of the goodness of your heart, just doing it would be gratification enough.  No reason to bring all of this other crap up or throw it in people?s faces."

Oh yeah it was sent to everyone on the family mailing list.

    I printed out the email for DH to read when we went to lunch and he was glad his aunt did that.  MIL has been doing that for the past 8 1/2 years.....she will give us stuff or do stuff for us and then use it against us.  She gave us a bunch of baby stuff she acquired from a lady she works for and then took it all back when we asked her to get her stuff out of the basement (that had been there for 2 years that was only supposed to have been a month).  Gotta love the Soap Opera I live in!
