I was thinking how I would be totally psyched to register when the time came & now I'm like, "Oh God, what a chore." 

That is my random thought of the day.

 

oh, and HJ may actually get the initials HJ.  We may have come up with a name!

Haha it would be funny if he ended up being HJ.  GL registering.  I registered for Consumer Reports yesterday so if you need any reviews, let me know :-)

I loved registering!! It was so much fun picking out things that our LO could be using in the future! 

I can understand, though, how it can be seen as a daunting chore. Once you get there it's pretty fun!

Plus I liked the idea of "shopping" without actually spending any money!

Congrats!!! I know what you mean about registring, The wedding was bad enough, you get excited for about 20 min... but then... Not looking too forward to it.

Cute! My little brother is a Harrison (he's 16) and I don't know that many of them- especially younger ones! Love that name!

Do you have any u/s pics? DH and I can NOT agree on any names, what a nghtmare! Registering is fun but very overwhelming. I did a lot of online research and since the stores are SO big I did most of it online and then went to the store and added a few things.

We had a good time registering, but it got exhausting at the end - the little things like which grooming kit or thermometer got really old.. I read BB back to back, made DH read some sections, and we had a great salesperson who really understood our style and lifestyle so that helped a LOT. The first time we went to look it was crowded and we were on our own and it was a nightmare.?

Same here, that is why we had to go back yesterday. This time he wouldn't show us his feet! We have to go back in 4 weeks again for his feet and my placenta isn't moving up.

Congratulations on your BOY!!!  And I like the name Harrison.  If that wasn't my boss's middle name, it would be on our list.

I just looked at your blog...cute clothes!  I haven't had much luck with clothes for my little man yet.  I went into Gymboree armed with $75 in Gymbucks and only got a few things for the baby, but more stuff for Rylie.  LOL  I will probably pop into GAP when I'm in the mall today.

I hated registering. It's a chore figuring out what you really need - and it's even worse if you have a SIL that keeps telling you to put more on there.

Congrats on the boy, and I love the name!

I'm way more stressed about registering for the baby than I was doing a wedding registry. ?With my china, pots & pans, etc., I didn't have to worry about safety issues, or whether my child would actually LIKE a swing/bouncy seat/sling/etc. ?The baby stuff is just daunting.?

I haven't been to successful with creating my registy - I just can't seem to figure it out, and everything I add ends up being girly colors (not my doing but it seems to change as I add it).  Hopefully you have better luck than I do
