had my first NST today due to PIH and the baby was classified as nonreactive. The baby's HR was accelerating but only 10 BPM rather than 15. So my DR sent me over for a BPP and the baby scored 8/8. Anyone else experience this? I am just worried about the nonreactive NST even though the BPP was reassuring.
Re: Nonreactive NST
my first NST at 32w2d was nonreactive... my 2nd one (33w2d) was reactive, and on monday my 3rd (34w2d) was Nonreactive again
it is really beginning to freak me out- but what helps me and hopefully helps you too- is that they are super cautious, and if there was any reason at all they still suspected something could be amiss, there is no way they would have let you go. From what I have posted- a reactive NST is a great sign, a nonreactive one is a non indicator and that is why they go to the BPP. I have an ob appt tomorrow and am going to ask more about it then b/c i wish they would just say 'you have to worry about this this and that', not just- well the u/s looked fine, see you next week type thing
