I thought I might ask over here. ?DC's pediatric pulmonologist just put him on a Flovent inhaler. ?He is taking two puffs in the morning and evening. ?If your LO is also on Flovent, how is it working for her/him? ?TIA
I'm not a child obviously, but I use Flovent and LOVE it. ?It has brought my allergy-induced asthma almost completely under control and allowed me to stop using my albuterol inhaler. ?
Before, I would have to use albuterol frequently, had a lot of lung congestion, and generally felt that things were not in control. ?A lot of people (friends, etc, not my doctor) recommended Cingulair or other inhalers with stimulant/allergy combinations. ?Cingulair made me worse than ever, and my doctor preferred for me to try just the Flovent with no albuterol/stimulants. ?For me it was enough, and I am very happy to be taking only the meds I need and not having to worry about feeling shaky, having my heart rate go up, or having it perpetuate my chest congestion.
