I don't know if this is a silly question, but were you able to drive later on in your pregnancy? I'm wondering if my belly will be too big to fit behind the wheel in order to drive to work.
I'm a few days shy of 30 weeks and I don't have any trouble fitting behind the wheel of my car. I guess it depends on which kind of car you drive...I assume if you drive a mini cooper, it might be a little harder to fit behind the wheel, but I fit into my car perfectly fine. GL :-)

i drove up until 32 weeks, when i went to the hospital. well, maybe i didn't drive that long. maybe 31 weeks. but i had a corolla, and i wasn't really fitting well behind the wheel at that point. :P
I was fat to begin with, and I was carrying triplets, but I was thankful that we got rid of the Mazda 6 for the Sienna before I was 30 weeks, LOL I had the steering wheel all the way in, and up quite a bit (felt kinda like I was driving a bus), and my seat all the way back and I still had a hard time making turns b/c my belly dug into the wheel. I was concerned with how the seat belt fit, knowing baby A was down there in the lap belt zone, and I was worried about the airbag, should I have gotten in an accident. But noting major ever happened and I needed to drive at least twice a week for BPPs/NSTs and OB apts. You manage b/c you do what you have to do. It wasn't so bad. Thank God though that I wasn't trying to heave my fat @ss in and out of that Mazda! LOL!
I actually stopped driving at 28 weeks. I am short (4'11") and have to pull the seat all the way up to reach the pedals - that was not working for me in my Escort with my big belly. At 20 weeks we bought a Honda Odyssey with adjustable steering wheel and pedals (yay!) and that bought me a few more months, but as I got bigger and I had to keep pushing the seat back - I just couldn't reach safely and the steering wheel was pressing into my belly. Luckily DH was able to drive me back and forth to work, to OB and peri appts., etc. I started working from home pretty soon after so that made things easier.
I drove after 30 weeks. The only reason I stopped was because towards the end I rarely went any where and if I did dh usually came along. I was not able to sit in booths anymore at most resturants though. I had some good laughs and so did many others at my expense while trying to wedge or unwedge myself from the seat.?

I drove myself to my 38 week appt. I carried straight out in front and was still able to fit behind the wheel.
