Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Need help re :napping?

I am just curious, I know all kids are different but my daughter is on the worst nap scheduld.  My mom watches her ( has been since she was 2 months) while I am at work, so they have a very good routine.  Well the past week or so when she goes for her morning nap it only lasts 10 minutes.  She will down for another later in the afternoon, for maybe 45 minutes.  My mom was even tried to delay it but my DD is the one who just falls asleep ... just looking for any ideas on how to change the nap schedule? Or is she just going through a funky phase?  TIA  :)

Re: Need help re :napping?

  • can you try transitioning her to one nap/day, and put her down a little later than you normally would for her first nap?  DS goes down around noon, and naps 2.5 - 3 hours. he sleeps at night from about 7:30 - 8:30 (except when he goes to daycare--DH has to have him up around 7 am).  DS's been on one nap since around 10 months and does really well with it.  gl!
