I have been seeing lots of posts about failing/passing the glucose test but it seems my doctor doesn't even do them. I will be 29 weeks at my next apointment and unless the test is very fast they are not planning on it as I have the last appointment of the day. Anyone else not have one or have it late?

Re: When is the glucose test?
I thought it was around your mid 20 weeks. I had to have an early one this time around because my son was an enormo baby and I have to have the regular one as well and mine is at 26 weeks.
Some doctors/ midwives don't perform them because they're known for giving false positives. They weren't even developed for pregnant woman but for woman who are menapausal and there's a lot of controversy surrounding whether they should be performed at all because they're fairly innacurate. If you're not in a high risk group, it might just be that they've decided not to give you the test.
