Who all has had trouble sleeping in their 2nd Tri? I haven't had a goodnights sleep (meaning i wake up at least once, Thirst or bathroom) In about 3 weeks to a month? Has anyone else had this issue?
Yes... I haven't slept a straight 8 hours in months. And from what I've seen, 3rd tri just gets worse. I like to catch naps whenever I get a chance.. those really seem to help!
I thought it was just me. I haven't slept since I got pregnant...and I know it doesn't get better from here so I am just screwed. First it was the peeing and the nausea, and now I just can't get comfortable so I wake up every couple hours to re-adjust...and then of course I figure I should pee while I am awake. Dr. said it's ok to take a Tylenol PM...but I'm just not comfortable doing that. Good luck!!
I started having problems sleeping toward the beginning of 2nd tri due to hip pain. ?Sleeping on my sides makes my hips ache horribly. ?I wake up several times a night because of the pain. ?
Yup. Actually, I dont consider the bathroom interruptions as bad sleep anymore. Sunday I slept great - I think I got up once. Last night I couldnt sleep at all though. I just could not get comfortable. That was awful.
I get about 5-6 good hours of sleep a night...that's it. Either I wake up to pee or one of the dogs wake me up to go outside to pee. I guess they are preparing me for baby!

I wake up at least twice. Once when DH gets home from work (sometime between midnight-4am depending on his schedule)...at which time I get up to pee and talk to him for awhile....then usually again around 5:30 to pee (I have to wake up around 6:30....)
Consider yourself lucky if you only wake up once a night. I have only slept all the way through the night once this entire pregnancy. Im up all night having to pee, trying to re-adjust and get comfortable, leg cramps and because i get hot.

Our beautiful daughter was born in October 2009. Turns out she was quite the miracle. After two years of TTC, diagnosed with DOR. A couple of failed treatment cycles later, we decided to let go of our hope for more biological children and explore adoption.
If getting up once/night equals a poor night's sleep, then I've never had a good night's sleep in my life.
During first tri, I was up 2-3 times/night to pee.
Now, I'm up about once/night to pee/take a drink, so I'm basically back to the way I was pre-pg.
ETA: and that's just potty breaks. I toss and turn all night, but again, I've always slept that way.

I haven't been able to sleep through the night in a long time! I wake up at least 4-5 times a night to readjust, go to the bathroom, or just because I'm hot. I have been putting the AC on every night and freezing DH out and I still can't get cool enough! It stinks because I know its only going to get worse as I move into 3rd tri and then when the baby is born I can forget sleep too!
Pre-preg I would sleep like a rock for 8 hours straight. In the past 4 months I haven't slept more than 3 hours at a time! I pee 3-5 times a night and lately I've been uncomfortable and sleeping in 1 hour increments until around 4am when I finally go out for about 2.5 hours. Sadly, I'm becoming accustomed to it.

About once a week I break down and take one of my first-tri nausea pills (which make me super drowsy) just to get a decent night's sleep. I hate to do it, but by day 7 of hardly any sleep I feel like it's the lesser of two evils.

Yeah, I haven't slept for more than 3 hours without a bathroom break for months except for once... and the one time I did it was because I was bad. I had ate something bad and kept throwing up and couldn't get back to sleep. I felt too sick to drive and DH was at work and I had no sudefed... so I took a small dose of tylenol pm.... and even then only slept for 5 or 6 hours!
