did anyone not start progesterone until after BFP?

I was on them when I had my m/c  and did not continue them. But, I conceived 2.5 weeks after it too. I had my p4 checked at around 7dpo and it was 14.9, no supplementation.  I got my bfp at 14 dpo....I waited to call the dr until 18 day dpo and was told to resume them that night, 1 suppository.

I did not get it rechecked and was on the suppositories until 14 wks.

I started progesterone oral pills (200mg a day) at 5 weeks when we found out my progesterone level was only a 9.1.  My level went up quickly and now I'm off of them.

I started progesterone suppositories twice a day a day or two after I got my bfp (so about 15-16 dpo), I was on them until about 11 weeks when I ran out of my prescription and the doc said no need to re-up.

My Dr. told me that I didn't need to start them until I got a BFP, and actually he waited until I got my first bloodwork back (approx. 12 dpo).  My progesterone was good, he said, but he still put me on them because it had been low with my mc.  I had my second bloodwork today.  I am not sure if I can stop them or not if this comes back good.

I started taking supplements at around 14dpo, after I had my progesterone tested and the level was only 9.5.

Don't worry! ?At my first beta draw, my prog was something like 14.5 but then at the 3rd one, it had dropped to 9.5. ?My dr. wasn't even worried, but I insisted they put my on a prog supplement. ?I don't do the suppository, just the oral, and I suspect I will be taken off it at my appt. this Friday since I'll be over 13 wks. ?So to answer your question, I was way beyond my BFP by the time I started prog.?

Two of my friends with previous losses started progesterone after the bfp - sgrl and heather_09_15_07.

I'm sure either of them would be happy to share experiences with you if you page them.  sgrl is 16 weeks and heather is 13.

I also started the oral pills after my BFP. I was at 4 weeks and a progesterone reading of 18 when I went on them. My level went up above 60 within a week.

Dont be sad!  I was totally stressed too when my level came back at 12.7....they put me on prometrium at 14dpo and last week my levels were up to 60.
