I love the name but want the most normal way of spelling. I'd like to avoid extra capitalization- my mom's last name starts L'Ho....it has always been too confusing. TIA!

Mackenzie. This is my brother's mn, but he goes by it. He's appreciated being able to avoid the confusion caused by alternative spellings/capitalizations.
Definitely Mackenzie. That way there is no issue with capitalization. I don't understand why people spell it other ways as a first name, personally.
yes, this
::sighs in relief:: Thanks! We decided on Mackenzie as a name when I was pregnant with DC#1 but never talked about how we would spell it. I like it spelled this way but didn't know if it was "normal." I like Mac and Kenzie for nick names so figured this would work. Thanks!

Mackenzie. It's a Scottish surname. Mac in a name means "descendant of," as does Mc and O' (like in McDonald or O' Malley.) Both of those are shortened forms of Mac as well, which is Gaelic for "descendant of."
there are so many variations now, there isn't a "normal" spelling anymore. i agree with you, capitals in the middle of a name are annoying. this name is also way nms and i think the most mainstream spellings will look weird without capitals... but if you must, Mackenzie.
