pet allergies?

I posted this the other day and go no responses. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this.

Do any of your LOs have animal allergies? How do you know? My DS was recently around a cat for the first time while we were on vacation, and we just adopted a kitten and he has had a runny nose, puffy eyes, and a slight cough, but he has also had these symptoms with teething. How do i know if its teething or allergies? TIA

    Wow, I don't know.  However, if you do have to give the kitten away, please post on the pets board.  Maybe someone there that lives near you can take the kitten or at least foster it.  Good luck.......
