B-day gift for 4year old girl?

I have no idea what girls this age (4) are into - can anyone suggest a good, inexpensive gift (under $35).  Its for a party next weekend so I don't have time to order it online.  Any suggestions welcome!  Thanks.

  • The Fancy Nancy books are fun.

My DD's liked Polly Pockets, Webkinz, and Disney Princess stuff at that age too.

And we like the game Hullabaloo.

  • Dandelionmom - just looked up the Hullabaloo game, it looks great! (and easy enough to exchange if they already have it).  Thanks for the suggestions.

  • My DD is 4 years old. Right now she loves everything related to fairies and Barbie. She's not as interested in princesses as she used to be. She particularly likes little toys, like a set of little "Twillerbee" fairy dolls she recently got, from a Barbie movie called Thumbelina. Target and Walmart both have lots of toys like that.
