Birthday invites for 3yo going to daycare/ preschool...

For your toddler's upcoming birthday (2 years to 3rd birthday), if s/he attends daycare, how did you distribute the invites to a birthday party (not held at the school) if you had invited your kid's classmates?

Did you have the teacher hand them out?

Place each one in each kid's box and run (lol)?

Wait for each parent to arrive and hand it off to them?

Or what?

And how far in advance did you hand them out too?

I asked for a class list with addresses and mailed them out.  We didn't invite everyone in the class, and this was the easiest way for us.

My my ds's nursery school, the teachers ask that we mail them through the classlist even if we are inviting the whole class.
