Cutting baby's nails...whoops.

So, I had to go to eldest DD's play tonight, and left Chloe with my mom.  Mom decided to cut her nails, and cut one of Chloe's fingers when Chloe flinched.  Apparently she cried inconsolably for over an hour.  (Chloe, not my mom.)

I feel like the worst mom.  This is the first time I haven't been here for her.  UGH.  I'm a suck mom and it only took six weeks to prove it!

    How can you be a suck mom when something happened when you were not there to prevent it? Sucky things will happen to all of our LO, because of us, because of themselves, because of others. We will be there for some and not for others. It is a minor cut, no big deal, def not the last one.

    Hell I scratched C pretty bad by accient in the bath yesterday. It will get better.

    Logically, I know this.  I just hate that she was so upset and I wasn't here.

    And yeah - I've scratched her before too - and then immediately cut all my nails!

    Dh cut M's finger the first day home from the hospital.  It happens.  You are not a suck Mom

    I also gave C the biggest purple egg on her head, we crashed around a corner. She hit me and bounced so far and so hard. Or the time she dove off a chair when DH and I were sitting right there. Or when she fell out of her swing at 5m...because she undid the straps on her own. Or...well I could go on and on...you just can't play the what if game. You will drive yourself bonkers with guilt.

    I tried they would not take me...seriously C is s roughneck, she scares me...100% fearless.

    Aww! You're not a bad mom, but I know how you feel.  Just go give her tons of extra hugs!
