Talk to me about sit & stand strollers (BabyTrend or ?)

There's a Baby Trend sit & stand stroller on craigslist right now for $75, and I'm thinking about getting it.  Right now Ellie's too little for the Bjorn/Ergo and we live in a hilly neighborhood, so it's hard to take them for walks b/c Keira will get tired and want to go in the stroller, too.

Are sit & stands worth it?

Reviews of the Baby Trend in particular?

TIA!

  • Totally worth it!

  • My SIL has the BabyTrend one that can fit an infant seat and has a sitting or sanding option for the toddler. ?She ?says it's like pushing a bus :( ?I covet the Joovy Caboose Ultralight, but we have a MH-imposed moratorium on stroller purchases at the moment.
  • I have a Joovy Ultralight Caboose.  So far, it's just okay for me.  Having Sydney in the infant carseat still is kind of a pain with the stroller.  It turns really great, but I still feel like I'm pushing a monster.  I think once she's sitting up on her own, and is in the stroller without the carseat, I'll really like it much better.

I wonder if she's ever tried a double stroller b/c I think the BT SNS is way better than a double.  Unless you want to spend $$$, there really is no great double stroller like there are singles.  But, I think the BT SNS is pretty good for the money.

  • I really like my Baby Trend sit 'n stand for the mall and other indoor places, but it doesn't handle very well outdoors. ?I did use it exclusively when B was still in the infant carrier, though. ?Not impossible to navigate on trips to the park, but definitely not as easy as the double jogger I use for outdoors now.

I do think that if I had kids the ages of yours I might spend the extra money and go for the Joovy ultralight. ?It's shorter and seems easier to push. ?I got the Baby Trend one because they had the option of the real seat in the back that can come out when the older child is ready for standing or sitting facing backwards.?

I can't say much about the Baby Trend b/c I've never tried it, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Joovy Ultralight.  It is so lightweight and easy to maneuver.  I swear it's easier to maneuver than my Maclaren umbrella (single).  DD loves the big girl seat in the back and I can't say enough good things about it.
