I think it's an adorable name and I don't think it's popular at all. Well, it's not at all where I live [Hawaii]-- might be quite different where you're from, however.
Same as all the pps. My son is Luca (we don't have drop of Italian blood, but I just love that name...I would name a daughter Julia, so we would have two very Italian names with a German last name, but anyway...). It's definitely not popular, but whenever I say his name people have to think about it a little, then say they like it. There are 2 other Lucas in my pediatrician's office, and I live in a small town, so that's surprising. Anyway, it is a bit unisex, but I tend to think boy (obviously ).

I don't think it is popular outside of Jennie Garth naming her daughter that a few years ago.
Also, I noticed your other child's name in your siggy and think Luca Bella would be way too similar.
This. Just because it ends in "a" doesn't mean it's a girl's name.
Luca is more commonly a boys name, however it is a Hungarian female form of Lucius.
It's extremely masculine to me. It's not very popular at all.
