Q about spotting before AF

I know it's normal to spot before af but is it normal to spot brown/old blood? Since TTC I have noticed that i spot for 1-2 days before af and it's always brown.

Just making sure it's the norm.

    Totally normal. I spot brown for 2-3 days before AF as well.

    This just happened to me.  Three days of spotting brownish/red blood, then one day nothing, and today AF wakes me up before my alarm even went off.  This didn't happen until I stopped taking BCP to TTC.  I have no idea why, though!

    Good that's a relief. For some reason I notice all these things now. Makes me wish I had paid more attention before ttc.

    It's normal. I spotted this for 3 weeks and no AF it just stopped. Weird.

    I normally don't spot before AF, but then again, I do. It's just different every cycle.
