For the past 3 wks, it's guaranteed I will get sick at least once within the first hour of waking up. Pre-pg, I couldn't even stomach food before I was up for an hour, but I find my body will simply try to throw up on an empty stomach anyway, which is worse.I've tried saltines, honey chex, plain cheerios, peanut butter bread, watermelon, milk, pretzels, oatmeal, granola bars--all in vain, they all come back up. I've also tried getting up an hr early to eat gradually, and I simply get sick sooner. Any other ideas?

Re: What is your trick for nausea first thing in the morning?
Have you tried eating before even getting out of bed? That works well for me. I eat saltines.
My doctor said Vitamin B6 is good. 25 mg, 3 x a day. I find ritz crackers and orange juice has been good for me. Sometimes I try to wake up in the middle of the night (usaully to empty the bladder) and eat a cracker or two. It's harder than hell to eat that early in the morning , but it does help.
Also, see if your OB will prescribe something for you.
Good luck!
I've found that a little protein and a little sugar in the morning help to settle my stomach, and also help if I'm feeling light-headed. So I'll have a piece of toast with almond butter and jam, and maybe a small glass of non-acidic juice (OJ was much too rough on my belly). I've never actually thrown up, though, so I'm not sure if this will be helpful for more significant m/s. Good luck!
Ditto....I leave a cracker on my night table, and even before getting up, I just grab it...and eat it....then 5 mins later I go and take a shower...
This... I ate Saltines before I would even get up. Then I took my time getting up and moving around to get ready.
Me too. I found that eating first thing just made me throw up that much faster. I tried Seabands, Vitamin B, saltines, ginger ale (which I now can't even look at), etc...Zofran is the only thing that has helped thus far. At least now I can eat some actual food (most of it terribly unhealthy; why will only the sweets stay down?!)
Thanks for the suggestions:) I've tried eating before getting out ob bed as well, and no luck. And unfortunately, Zofran didn't work for me, I started the unisom/b6 routine 2 nights ago and still waiting for any changes. Am getting sick 3-5xs a day, both morning and night, and just wish it would get easier...
