How many of you didn't find out the sexes?

I'm sure this question has been asked a million times but did any of you NOT find out the sexes? DH and I are saying right now that we aren't going to find out (this could change, I know...) and everyone seems to think we are crazy since it is twins! Of course I want the nursery ready to go but I still think I can do a very cute nursery without it being pink or blue. Just wondering if anyone else held out.

Re: How many of you didn't find out the sexes?

  • We're not finding out. It's hard to know that in 3 weeks we can find out, but we'll stick to our guns.

For the nursery - we're using dark furniture and painting the walls a beige/khaki color. I'll probably get some type of green window covering (not sure yet) and I'm actually going to hold out on a bedding set until they're born (unless I find some gender neutral ones that I have to have).

  • we didn't!  and I think our nursery turned out pretty cute anyways (we did a jungle theme)...it's been tough and there have been times I've almost caved...but right now I am so glad we are still waiting - it just adds to the excitment of their upcoming birth! (Though picking names has been a nightmare!) Good luck whatever you decide!

  • We are not finding out.  I love the anticipation and it also saved me from getting a lot of annoying gender-specific clothing at my shower.  We wanted a modern nursery and I am making my own crib bedding in navy blue, lime green, and grass green colors.
  • We never found out for any of our kids. As the twins got bigger the US tech would have me turn away from the TV screen while she did the lower half pictures. She would say, "it's very obvious what you're having so please look away if you still want a surprise".
  • We didn't find out and it was great.  It made the c-section not so stressful because I was just wondering that they were going to be.  I highly recommend it and would do it again.
