My son is a month old and eats like a pig. My lactation consultant is amazed at the amount of milk he drinks. He eats more than I can produce on a given day and I can't get my milk production to increase so I have had to subsitute with formula. He was doing fine on the formula till last week when he started having issues with constipation. My dr said give him a bath, rub his belly and move his legs in a bicycle motion to stimulated a bowel movement. He said if that doesn't work give him a Glycerin Suppository.Well those work and work well but it says on the label if the problem lasts more than a week contact your dr. My question is have any of you dealt with constipation in a different way with your baby? How much did they way and how old were they? I want to help my poor son but I don't know what else to do.
Re: Help-Plugged Up
I put karo in DDs bottle. Not just a drop or 2 - she gets 3-4 big blobs out of the container. It helps her.
Ditto pp about a different formula though. Ask your pedi for some samples, to try & keep the cost down.
