CIty Mini or Bumbleride?

Does anyone have these? What are your pros and cons? We need a side by side and I can't decide!!!!

Re: CIty Mini or Bumbleride?

  • Personally I would go with the Bumbleride.  BUT, I think it all depends on where you will be using the stroller.  If you will be taking it off road or though grass or on bumpy roads I think the Bumbleride would offer a better ride because of the tires and suspension.

  • if money weren't an issue, I'd get a bumbleride. But that wasn't in our price range, so we got a city mini

  • Well, I've never tried the Bumbleride, but I've been very happy with our City Mini so far!
  • Hi~ We have a bumbleride and LOVE it! It is the only stroller we use and it is perfect for all of our needs.  The only con I could think of is that it is pretty heavy and still pretty big when folded up.  But, I personally don't mind it and have no problems whipping it in and out of the car.  I know a lot of ladies on here have the city mini and really like it, but my vote is def. for the bumbleride.
  • The Bumbleride was just too pricey for us.  Plus, I had heard from some that it was still rather big when folded and heavy.  We have a City Mini and love it.  I use ours mainly for neighborhood walking and trips to the stores/mall.

I have had about 4 other single strollers and the DSNG so far for DD and the twins.  There are a few spots of uneven pavement in our neighborhood that all of the other strollers required me to to do the tilt thing to lift the stroller up over the bump.  The City Mini goes right over all of these bumps, no problem.  Also, I have been able to use it on the grass. My neighbors hang out in the backyards, so we are always taking the stroller up a steep 7 foot hill to get into the backyards around here. Again, while not a "perfect" ride, I was shocked at how easy it was to steer on the grass. The steering and ride on regular street or store terrain is unbelievable. I love it. Oh, and it folds up SO easy and fast with just one step.

Cons: for the price you should get a parent tray with it. It comes at an additional price.

Can you tell that I really love ours? Good luck deciding. I think they are both great strollers after I did my research.

Ditto this - large tires will go over more rough terrain.

The fold of the city strollers is amazing, though - the bumbleride has a few steps - i wasn't crazy about the fold- but with all strollers i'm sure you'd get used to it.

I don't have either but tested them both out- and loved them both... ended up with the Valco b/c I needed the toddler seat option :)

The bumbleride sure is pretty though! And for me that was weighing VERY heavily on my mind :)

  • Well I have both! City mini I keep in my car for errands and bumbleride we take on longer trips. So if you wanted to get just 1 and space is not an issue, deffinitelly go with the bumbleride. It is heavier and doesn't fold up as well as city mini, but it is incredibly comfortable for the girls, they slouch SO much in the city mini. They can also see better out of the bumbleride and all accessories come with it like a foot muff! Good luck deciding! And let me know if you have any more questions!

  • I love our City Mini! It turns so well, and we go on the grass all the time and there is NO issue with it. My kids don't slouch, if you adjust the harnesses correctly they will fit fine! It has the adjustable recline too, and there is a bit of suspension on the front wheels, it's a way smoother ride than a Snap n go which is with our other stroller. And the folding is the best part. If I was out by myself and had to do much more than than pick and a go fold the Mini has I would be upset. You have two kids, mine are young 7 months and 5.5 adjusted, you can't be messing will a stroller. I have never folded a Bumbleride but I love the City Mini, the sunshades are the biggest I have seen, bigger that the Bumblie Indie Twin too! Go try the out. I had none to do that in our area, but took many reviews. Go and watch the interactive video for both, but the quick fold sold us on the City Mini and I get compliments all the time on it.
