7 months old, what temp do you call the doc?

We are at 101 right now.  The number of when to call slips my mind.

  • I feel like it's 101.  I think it depends on how you're taking it too.

    In the ear.

  • My pedi's nurse also says to consider if they're eating, sleeping, playing or not.

I used to work for a doc who took on-call once a month.......if you may have to call tonight, do it now before he/she goes to bed.  :)

  • I would say it would depend how long she has had it - I wouldn't call right away with a 101 - I would try to treat it and see if it goes down first.

  • i would think it depends on her behavior/symptoms.  how is she eating/sleeping/playing?  if she is acting happy with a 101 temp i would treat it and see what happens.  if she is acting sick with a 101 temp i would call the pedi.
  • 7 months sounds like teeth.      if it goes down with tyenlol, mortin. ans she is stay acting normal then your fine.  if it last more than a day then i would call.  but more than likle its her teeth.
  • over 102!!

a friend of mine is going through this and she called at 100.1  To me that is a waste and not even a real fever.  101 is a fever, but not high.

DS fevers are 104, 104.5 regularly, so I barely call unless it gets to that level.

  • There is something nasty going around Phoenix right now (not the swine flu). My kids had it in the last 2 weeks. I know so many babies right now that have fevers with some vomiting. Fortunately, it wasn't long lived. I hope your baby is feeling better soon.
