why is there a hole in the back of the swaddle me?

Actually I thought it wa so you could buckle LO in to the car seat with it. At least that is how it works in my theory.

You people...the crotch buckle goes through the hole. The wings of the swaddler go UNDER the shoulder straps of the carseat. You buckle them in and  then swaddle over the top of the straps. So baby and the straps are all inside the swaddle. I do it for DD all the time and she sleeps like, well, a baby.

That sounds way too complicated to be worth it.
