Flu shot?

Would the flu shot help protect against the "swine flu" or not? This might be a dumb question....but i am freaking out cause i never got the flu shot! =(

I got one while PG but I don't think its protecting against this strain of the flu.

No, as pp's said, it is a different strain/virus.  But it's still recommended to get a flu shot, since seasonal flu is still active.
