Sorry it's a little newbish it but,
I normally take my temp as 3:30 am when DH wakes up. This morning I woke up at 2:30. I layed there, (didn't get up or anything) for about 6 min and then realized maybe I should take my temp (didn't know if it would affect it if i fell back asleep and woke up a hour later). So I did, then went back to bed and woke up 3hrs later and took it again.
Wich one should i go with? The on where I layed in bed for 6 min before I actually took it? Or the one where I took it LATER but still was a 3hr block of sleep? And for future refrence, If I'm to wake up to look at the clock basically a hour or so before I normally temp, should I take my temp or just fall back to sleep?
TYIA for your help! And sorry about the question. haah
(Oh and if it matters my temps for 2:30am were 97.06 and my temp for 6:30 am is 97.33 so there is a big difference in the two)
Re: Charting Question...
Ugh, this happens to me too. Here's what I do. Use the first temp on my chart and then make a note about the early waking as well as the second temp. FF will give you an open circle, which if later on in your cycle seems out of the norm you can always go back and plug in the second temp and see what that looks like.
They say that your temp will rise .1 degree for every 30 minutes you oversleep or you'll lose .1 degree for every 30 minutes you undersleep.
I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's just one temp and what you're looking for is the overall pattern, not just one day. FWIW, if I am able to just check the clock, see that it's an hour (or two) before my normal wake time, I try to roll over and go right back to sleep. Usually works and doesn't affect my temp. But if I lie there, anxious about waking early, I'll just temp.
