I am not doing this. Ever.
1 family had 6 kids, 3 boys, 3 girls. All the boys had Joseph as a mn and all the girls had Mary as a mn. And no they were not family names, didn't even particularly fit with the surname (which was Italian). It was a bit strange imho.
1 family I know has 5 kids (and yes we all went to Catholic elementary school together).... the Dad was Roger A. and the 4 girls were Rachel, Rowan, Ruth and Rhiannon. The youngest, a boy, was Robert. The poor Mum's initial never got a look in.
Then there's my second cousins - Mum and Dad were Bob and Marie - but they called the kids Jason, Jonathan, Justin and Jody, and then Louise. In a way its good they broke the J thing, but 4 boys with a J then a girl who isn't... Louise always thought they just couldn't get a name they liked with a J for her.
Re: Crazy matchy name families I know...
LOL, DH has 3 bros.
Jason, Jonathan, Justin, Jeremy in that order
yeah, everyone in dh's family has the same first initial... even his parents... all 5 of them. it nearly made me hurl when I first heard this tid bit of info. I never wanted matchy-matchy names for my dc either. my son wasn't named based on my dd's name (her name listed is a nickname, she is elizabeth and knows both names, libby and elizabeth). we had various names picked for ds and couldn't decide... when he was born and placed on my chest, dh shouted out his name... that was it, we knew. that was his name and it fits him. but people think we were trying to be cute with their names... nope.
I have cousins Mike, Marty, Mark and Monte.
We have family friends named Jason, Jeana and Jill. Their parents are John and Jayne. Their last name also starts with a "J."
Another set of family friends are Jerry, Judy, Jeremy, Janelle and Jarod.
Everyone in my immediate family has one of two middle names (after my parents' middle names).
I'm proud to say we're working on a full bag of M&Ms.
Mitch, Mandi, Michael & Melissa.... so far.....
My mom's name is Debra, and her siblings are Denny, Dan and Diane.
When they were growing up, they went by Debi, Denny, Danny and Dede.
I taught a family of 9 boys and 1 girl. The youngest are twins. The oldest has a different mom, and not an "M" name. In order, they are:
Jackson, Michael, Matthew, Mark, Moses, Malachai, Micah, Max, and Maxine.
*I am forgetting one and just can't remember who.
My kids all have A names, but it wasn't on purpose. It was just all we could agree on.
I grew up with a girl whose parents were Larry & Mary. They named their children Jerry, Sherry, Terry and Carrie.
I have cousins (family with 6 kids 3 boys/3 girls). their names are Bill, Brenda, Bob, Tom, Tracy & Toby.
I know a family whose names all begin with a K. Parents are Karl and Karen, Children are Kasey, Kim and Kerri. Kerri married Keith and then went on to name her children Kyle, Kevin and Kelsie. Her brother Kasey married and named his children Kasey Jr and Kendall. ?Kerri married Mike and then had twins Nathan & Nicholas. She wasn't able to carry on the K's.
My husbands cousins are Jocelyn, Jackie, Jill and then Kathy.?
