Another follie check tomorrow - we'll see if we're cancelling

Hi ladies -

Well, so far this IVF has been totally different from my last one.  Before I was on long Lupron cycle and they retrieved 11 eggs at my ER.  This time - weirdness.  First check: nothing much to report.  3 days later: 3 big ones - huh?  - and some little ones.  Waiting to see what develops tomorrow.  If I don't have more than 3 we're not going to retrieval.  We have MFI also so we need a few more "targets".  So I'm adjusting my expectations - I realize I'm older, but really?  3?  I'm OK w/scrapping it and starting again - just want to make sure we get better results.  OK, I'm rambling.  Good luck to everyone!

    No - different protocal.  Did long Lupron and then follistim before, this time no lupron, just OCP's and then bravelle.  Bravelle and Follistim are the same thing just different name brands, so that isn't significant.  Supposedly this antagonist protocal is supposed to yield better results - we'll see.

    I did the long lupron too.  I also did follistim and repronex.  I'm really hoping to continute the same protocol since they retrieved 21 eggs out of the 1 ovary I have ...of those 21 19 were mature.

    I only had 3 follies and all  3 fertilized. We put all 3 back and I am pregnant with a little girl. I did not want to wait again and I am glad we did not. GL tomorrow

    Thanks - i luvtom - that's great to hear!  I just need to stop comparing to my other IVF cycle for my son - that would probably help!

    Congrats ilvuvtom!

    one thing I learn with TTC for 18 months and then doing IVF is you have to have faith!  Without it you would just drive yourself nuts.

    I hope that 3 will be enough. iluvtom's story is a great one. If they do cancel will you at least be able to convert to an IUI?
