BFP or left over hormones?

I have been waiting for AF since my natural m/c last month (4 weeks Sunday) and today I finally decided to take a pregnancy test.  It was positive but I have no idea if I can celebrate yet as I'm not sure if its left over hormones from my last pregnany or new ones??? I know you can't tell me I just needed to vent. I took the test two minutes after my doctor's office closed so now I can't call until tomorrow morning. Hopefully he can tell me from my last bloodwork.  I suspect the only way we're going to get to the bottom of this is with more blood work to find out if my numbers are going back up.  That's not a pincushion...that's my arm!

I'm sorry, but it's probably left over hormones.  Your levels might not be to zero yet.  And, you might not get your period for 5-6 weeks after your m/c.

It could be either at this point - I hope it's a BFP though! GL - let us know what your doctor says!

My levels were down to 0 3wks after my m/c.  I hope you get your answer quickly from the doctor so that you don't have to be anxy long.

Yes, I will call the doctor the second they open tomorrow (although I know from past experience I may as well wait a half an hour because everyone else has the same idea). He didn't tell me if my hormones were down to zero but they were headed in that direction and he was happy I didn't have an ectopic. Other than that there was no reason to test down to zero. I kind of wish I had done a test a couple of weeks ago to check. Oh well, patience is the name of the game. If we got pregnant in the first month after a m/c we don't have much to complain about.  I'll let you all know.

I talked to the doctor via his secretary today. He doesn't think my left over hormones were enough to trigger a BFP (although he didn't pass on the actual numbers) so he thinks I'm KU....but I have to go for bloodwork to be sure and make sure the numbers are going up. I can't go until Monday because of work and I'm totally stressed out. I've been eating like its going out of style ever since the m/c and it was worse today.  I dropped about 100 things at work today and can't focus. I do not want to get excited because it could be nothing.  I think that even if I do get confirmation that I'm KU I won't be able to get excited because I'm so worried about having another m/c. Aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh! Thank you for letting me vent.
