Finally met my friend for lunch...

After putting it off for the past 3 months, I finally met my friend for lunch that had her baby a couple months ago....and I'm so glad I did. I feel bad that it took me that long to be "up to" talking to her...cause it shouldn't have. I told her all about the mc. We spent a lot of time laughing at our mother's "you know you're can't do this when you're pg" and "you can't do that", etc. It was really great....a big relief to me.

If you want a good laugh, one of her mom's things was "you can't change the sheets on the bed". She's like "for 9 months". And she said yes, it was bad luck (they're from another country, so a little different culture there). Something about if they did, her DH needed to do it and "scare away the spirits". LOL

Good for you. You know... sometimes we just don't give ourselves enough credit--we often are stronger than we give ourselves credit for. I am happy that you were able to catch up and reconnect with your friend.

Not washing sheets for 9 months... is pretty darn gross.
