I think it is cute. One of my friends is due in 12 days and that is the name she has picked for a boy. Also a lady i used to work with named her some Maximus and he goes by Max. Its becoming quite a popular name.
I love it. I was thinking of naming my son that too
the only thing Im concerned about is the growing popularity and the fact that my husband wont let me name him Maximus.... just Maxx

I am not a fan of it at all. It's just so...boring. Plus I keep thinking of the transgender Max on The L Word (not a bad thing I liked that character). Utimately, all that matters is that you like it.
I'm sorry - please don't hate me - I don't like it. I never have. But you know, I went to high school with this cute guy and his name was Dax and maybe just from the association, I like Dax better. Just a suggestion.
I love the name Max! ?Unfortunately, with a last name beginning with Mc, it would be cruel to name the kid that (or most other M names). ?Oh well! ?I think Maxwell is really cute.
As long as you're only spelling it with one X, I think it's cute. NMS, but cute. We had a friend that was going to spell it Maxx though and that just made me think of TJ Maxx.
From my experience as the second meanest bully in school, I would expect a kid named Max to be teased relentlessly. ?Teasing never killed anyone though.
It's cute and short. So he wont have problems spelling it later. Some of the names today are so weird I was talking to a girl who was naming her little boy Zero. To strange for me. Max is really cute though. Congrats on the baby boy.?
Its cute as a nickname for Maxwell, but it honestly is a little too common for me and reminds me of a dog name first and foremost. But if you and H love it, use it!

My friend golden retriever?s name is Max. But I like it for a little Italian baby.
I like it! I have it on my list. I don't *think* my husband has vetoed it yet.
I love that name!
Cute, very popular name in picture books.
gb!
It's my dog's name and he's my favorite "person" ever.
Incidently, it's been the most popular name for both dogs and cats in the US for the last 8 years. ?Just something to think about.?
yeah, my friend's dog is named max, so that's all i think about when i hear the name.
